Mrs. Shivani Rajpal Artist Profile
Born: 13th June 1980 at Bathinda (Punjab)
About the Artist
Mrs.
Shivani Rajpal is an all round creative force as a mixed-media artist. She has
synthesized her first love of painting with her passion for arts from class 6th.
Against
all odds from family she stood strong to complete her desires for becoming a
famous artist by competing out with great zeal and enthusiasm in various
competitions from 7th class onwards. The more resistance she faced, the craving
for art became even stronger. Looking back to childhood, she used to be
fascinated by the figures and objects in the surroundings and what came into
her way to the school. She started sketching her feelings and images about the
life with whatever pen, pencil and paper she had in hand. She had an aspiration
to create art which she indulged in her initial attempts at scribbling and
drawing the image that touched her.
Though
very good with pen and pencil during the early childhood, she had a fear to
hold brush and colors in her hand, which she believed was not her media. But
this myth about herself was broken by Mr. Ram Kumar Sharma (who later became
her Mentor) by simply saying “Just believe you can, and you will”. These
words of inspiration from a renowned personality in the field of Arts by the
name “Mr. Ram Kumar Sharma” became a launch pad for her. Later under his
guidance she started blossoming at his art academy “Bama Academy of Fine Arts”
in Panchkula. After that she never looked back. Since the day she has been
working under the guidance of her mentor, he not only helped her work towards
perfection in the field of art but she also had been following his foot steps
for being a splendid human being and a superb mentor for others also. She
constantly feels his presence, power and blessings every single moment of her
life.
By
the time she completed her schooling, her inclination for arts had become even
stronger. She opted, against the wishes of my parents, to pursue her studies as
a Bachelor and later as a Master in the field of Fine Arts from Arts College,
Chandigarh and Kurukshetra University. Amongst the Indian and international painters
and artists, she admired the work of Shobha Singh, Raja Ravi Verma, Milind
Mulick and Boris Vallejo.
The
versatility and create power mark her as a supreme example of Renaissance
genius. She depicted in her drawings, scientific precision and consummate
artistry. As a mixed-media artist, Shivani is a born experimenter, blending and
transforming both traditional and unexpected items into meaningful pieces of
self expression is her passion. She considers art to be a true form of devotion
and meditation and a strong platform to establish connection of the soul with
the Almighty. According to her, an
encounter with the pictures of life, women and figures is an unsettling and
empowering experience. It brings out our hidden humanness, which in fact
becomes an experience of self-realization. It opens a reservoir of fellow
feeling amongst us

imparting her artistic talents to others. She has a vision and mission to light
the path of many in the field of art and painting. This mission was highly
supported by her guru and mentor Sh. Ram Kumar Sharma who motivated to continue
her passion for arts even after she got married.

"All things material can be creatively transformed into a personal piece of artistic interpretation. That creativity is not a measure of skill, but a passion. That art comes from within and is a visual extension of ones self. That everyone is perfect just the way they create. That art cannot be defined, but rather is defining."
